If you love scrapbooking, you’ll really enjoy displaying your favorite pages in a scrapbook frame. Now instead of hiding your artistic and creative talent in an album, you can have it displayed for all to see.  Scrapbook picture frames allow you to display your scrapbook page hung on a wall in your home or office. By using just a little creativity, you can create a fun display for you and your friends to enjoy. Here are just a few ideas to get your creativity going:

Rotating Fun
Rotating and displaying different scrapbook pages is easy with a scrapbook frame. Normally when scrapbooking, you create more than a page at a time so there are always more than enough pages to display. By rotating your scrapbook pages, you can have an ever changing display on your wall that highlights a season, a holiday or a special occasion. Add to your holiday decorations with a scrapbook page highlighting the previous year’s holiday pictures. Or, you can show your children how proud you are of them by displaying their achievements in a scrapbook frame for all to appreciate.

Theme it Up
Themes are a fun and creative way to highlight your pictures. You can create scrapbook pages by theme like a special trip, wedding, holiday, special occasion, sports competition or even a special hobby. The ideas and possibilities are endless. Any event that is important to you is most likely captured in pictures. Those pictures used to create a scrapbook page will keep alive the memory of that time in your life.

A Memorable Personalized Gift
If you are looking for a thoughtful and personal gift for a friend or family member, consider a scrapbook frame. Imagine their delight to receive a gift made and personalized just for them. You can personalize the page with pictures, written messages or keepsakes. A scrapbook page is a unique way to create a one of a kind gift that will be treasured for years.

Family Tradition
As your kids grow up, you can chronicle their important moments and special memories in a monthly scrapbook page. Create a memorable family tradition by having your child pick an activity or favorite thing each month to display in their scrapbook page. In addition to spending quality time with your kids, you’ll be nurturing their creativity and will help them create something to remember their childhood.

Grandparents’ Favorite Gift
The gift of a scrapbook frame to a grandparent will be one of their most treasured possessions. Creating a scrapbook page of your child’s important milestones will make any grandparent, living near or far away, feel more connected to their grandchildren. A grandparent may not be able to see their grandchildren regularly, but a scrapbook page frame will keep them aware of their grandchild’s accomplishments or fun day-to-day activities as they grow.

Scrapbook frames come in a wide variety of colors like green, black and blue picture frames as well as wood tones like walnut and natural stained frames. With so many colors to choose from it makes it easy for you to choose the perfect frame for your scrapbook page.

If you are an avid scrapbooker, you know the fun and accomplishment of creating an entire scrapbook or a special single page. Now, instead of tucking your creation away in an album, you can share those memories in a scrapbook picture frame and change pages whenever you feel like it. Scrapbook frames are a wonderful way to share your creativity, your pride in your family or happy times in your life. By using a scrapbook picture frame, you’ll have almost as much fun displaying your scrapbook pages as displaying them on the wall for all to compliment.

Don’t you want to know how to choose the right scrpbook themes?

Scrapbooks are considered works of art and have been for many years. Scrapbooks are filled with collections of photos  that focuses around a certain event or theme. Scrapbooking has been around for ages but has in recent years become a popular hobby for a very large group. Scrapbooks are very different today than what you would have seen had you been around in the early 1900’s. Yes, they have been around for a very long time and we are not the first generation to have a passion for scrapbooking. There are so many different embellishments; papers and styles to choose from that one could have a very hard time selecting just the right materials.

Choosing a Scrapbook Theme selection does not have to be difficult. You can choose to create a complex or simple design. The themes can be focused on many different events such as birthdays, weddings, holidays and many other events. If you really wanted, you could create a scrapbook that focuses on you and your friends creating scrapbooks. Sound silly? If you really thing about it, this is no different than scrapbooking about one of your kids hobby or a sport they are involved in. It is all about the things that make you happy and the things you will want to remember later in life.

When you are looking to select a Scrapbook Theme, you want to consider these three (3) things…

1. What is your objective – what do you look to achieve with your scrapbook?

2. Who are you making the scrapbook for? Is the scrapbook for you, your family, a friend or maybe for your child’s school…

3. Who or what is the content of your scrapbook? Who will be in the scrapbook? What photos do you want to make sure are in the book?

These are some very important questions to ask yourself before selecting your scrapbook theme. You are going to be telling a story through your scrapbook pages. You will want to use scrapbook embellishments that relate to the story that your scrapbook will tell. Remember, if you are creating the scrapbook for someone other than yourself such as a friend or relative, use scrapbook embellishments that reflect that person’s personality or their interests.

MY TOP WAYS TO COME UP WITH A SCRAPBOOK THEME

1. Look through your photos and as a collection you can produce a theme with what you find in common in these photos.

2. Memorable Vacations. Places you have visited or your most memorable vacation can help you in choosing a very nice theme.

3. Have you participated in any events or projects? Photos or mementos from these events can also be the basis of your scrapbook theme.

4. Your Hobbies and Events. Like I said before… If you love scrapbooking, you may choose for your scrapbook theme to be related to scrapbooking. The things that bring you happiness can be your theme.

5. Genealogy Scrapbooks. Family Tree scrapbooks are a great way to preserve your family history and this is currently a very hot scrapbooking trend.

6. Create your own twist on template themes. Creating a scrapbook about yourself for your parents instead of just doing it for yourself.  These can be focused around recollections of your childhood.

Scrapbook Weekend Retreats

Today is just one of those days where I just can’t get focused on my scrapbook project. Do you ever have days that you just want to sit back and take a look at the scrapbooks that other people have created? I don’t really know if it is true or not but I feel that I get more creative after looking at the scrapbook pages other people have made. I am not sure if there is a word for it but for a writer, they call it writers block. Often times I will try to think of a creative new layout and I just find myself moving things all over the paper and I don’t like anything that I come up with. Today was one of those days for me. I just could not find a layout that I was happy with and I was ready to just give up and work on something else. I wanted to just go surf the internet for scrapbook pages layouts other people have created.

You may already know how to search Google images but I will tell you how just in case you have never tried this option. If you want to look at scrapbook pages and different scrapbook layouts from all over the World, you can do this directly from Google. Open your browser and go to the Google search page and enter Scrapbooks Page or just Scrapbook. You may even want to enter the type of scrapbook layout you are searching for such as Travel Scrapbook Layouts. After you enter your search, click on the link at the top of the page that says images. Google will return images of scrapbook pages or layouts that are similar to what you are searching in thumbnail size images. When you have found a layout that looks good to you, simply click on the image and you will open up the full size image. There are also options to search for small, medium and large images. When I search, I always look for medium or large images because this usually pulls the best quality pictures.

The search page for Google also has a link that says Videos. This link is at the top of the Google search page as well. After searching for Scrapbook Tips, you will find many videos that will provide you with scrapbook tips and tricks. Today while I was searching for layout ideas on Google, I clicked on the Video link. I found a video that took me to a website that lists Scrapbook Events from all over the country and I thought that I would share this with you on my blog. The site is Scrapbook Crops and they allow you to post events at no charge. I found a scrapbook weekend retreat that is only a couple of hours from my home. I talked to some of my girlfriends and we are going to register if the event is not sold out. Since I am not working on my scrapbook right now, I thought I would share with you on my blog. With this site being free, I expect to find many scrapbook events posted. So, if you know of an event in your area, you can post the event even if you are not the organizer of the event.

Well im about to get supper ready for the family. If I have time, I will give you an update tomorrow and I will definitely let you know how the retreat goes.
